“Living Free” is a limited edition print from an oil painting by Southern Artist Amelia Clark. In our time of national distress, Amelia was compelled to express her Christian and patriotic feelings through her art. The Christian flag and the American flag are intertwined to represent the fact that America does not stand without the foundation of Christian values. The seven dogwoods sit over the Bible to represent completion when we are in God’s perfect plan. The Bible is tattered, old and well used showing us that there is still beauty within age. Sitting on the Bible are open shackles that represent freedom. In the time of American history, this was freedom to become a nation, freedom to worship God, and all the freedoms won to continue us as a nation. The key to the shackles sits on the Bible to remind us that the key to our freedom as a nation and a person rests solely on God’s word.
